The single biggest failure mode in animal charity is an untracked wire transfer. Money arrives, nobody can prove what it bought, and trust dies with the first rumour.
So we removed the step. Donations are pooled per shelter, and our regional coordinator purchases food, medicine and veterinary services from vetted local suppliers. The supplier delivers to the shelter. The shelter sends photo confirmation within seven days. That confirmation goes back to the community that funded it.
What that means in practice
- Shelters never handle donor cash — they handle goods.
- Every purchase has an invoice attached to a named supplier.
- Missed reporting twice in a row removes a shelter from the network.
- Donors can request the paperwork for any month, any shelter.
